The People Behind the Curriculum
Kylea is an internationally recognized author and educator specializing in ethical practice in extraordinary states of consciousness. She is the founder of InnerEthics®, developed over three decades of work in psychedelic and transpersonal communities. The relational framework of InnerEthics® is at the heart of every PGN course. Kylea studied directly with Stanislav Grof and Christina Grof beginning in 1984, worked as a Senior Trainer in the Grof Transpersonal Training for a decade, and spent nine years on the staff of a residential substance abuse treatment center. She brings clinical depth and lived experience to everything she teaches. Her books on ethical awareness and peer consultation for psychedelic practitioners remain foundational texts in the field.

How long does the full certification take?
About 19 hours of on-demand material across all six courses. Entirely self-paced, most practitioners complete it over 4–8 weeks, but you have ongoing access and can take as long as you need.
Can I use this certification for professional development?
Yes. The InnerEthics® Level 1 Certification is recognized as professional ethics training and can be included in your ongoing development portfolio. Some licensing boards accept this type of specialized training for professional development hours, check with your state’s licensing board for specific requirements.

Do I need to take the courses in order?
We recommend it. The courses are designed to build on each other. Ethics 101 and 102 lay the conceptual foundation, 103 introduces peer consultation, 104 addresses complex dual relationships, 105 deepens into the ethics of caring, and 106 gives you the practical tools. The progression is intentional.
What does “certification” mean exactly?
Upon passing the assessment in all six courses, you receive the InnerEthics® Level 1 Certification: an official credential from the InnerEthics® program.
